Harry picked Mouse up after starting his job in Union. Actually, Mouse was one of a few missing baby Pokemon he'd been hired to track down. He did so but this one had managed to stay behind. With the client already off to who knows where and no way to contact them, Harry decided to keep Mouse and bonded him.
Now a fully-evolved Stoutland, Mouse has grown considerably from his roots as a runty Lillipup. As tall as Harry is Mouse's shoulders reach above his hip just over four feet tall and might be even taller on his hind legs. Still, despite his enormous size he's maintained his quiet, gentle demeanor.
Those who believe in such things might say that Mouse is a very old soul.
